For over twenty years, Robin Goldberg has explored movement modalities ranging from Russian classical ballet to restorative yoga. Since starting dance at age three, she has performed and choreographed nationally and internationally with companies such as MOMENTA and the Joffrey Ballet. While participating in the Bates Dance Festival Professional Training Program, she embraced yoga as a rejuvenating way to start each day. In 2010, she earned her Hatha Yoga certification at Colorado’s Shambhava School of Yoga and then began teaching at the University of Michigan.
After suddenly developing several debilitating health conditions simultaneously, Robin dove deeper into mindful movement for personal healing. Her experience inspired her to assist others on their journeys toward wellness. To create a supportive atmosphere for students and clients overcoming pain, trauma, and anxiety, Robin has completed trainings in Street Yoga, Laughter Yoga, and Therapeutic Yoga. To enhance her integrative instruction style, she practices Pilates, Feldenkrais, and Gyrokinesis, and infuses their influences into daily life, group classes, and private sessions.
Through teaching yoga, Robin’s appreciation for the mind-body connection expanded and encouraged her to learn more about the healing arts. The transformative effects of Reiki and Reflexology resonated with her most and led her to professional certifications in both modalities. As a holistic health practitioner, Robin enjoys empowering people with energy, bodywork, movement, and mindfulness.
